Future Employers

The Business Internship Program has been an integral part of the School of Management's academic program since the campus was founded in 1959. 

Students have majors in:

  • Management
  • Finance
  • Controllership
  • Accounting Information Systems
  • Accounting
  • Operations Management
  • Marketing
  • Management Information Systems
  • Workforce Management
  • Supply Chain Management

Junior and senior BBA and graduate students are eligible to participate in the program.  The internships are full-time, four-months, paid positions which are recognized for their educational component.  The work periods are: January - April; May - August; September - December and coincide with the academic semesters. In addition, many of the internships are commitments for two work periods.  Students pay tuition and earn academic credit for the internships, while applying scholastic knowledge and testing vocational interests. 

During 2007:

  • 147 internship work semesters were completed or in the process of being completed.
  • 102 students were first-time placements.
  • 45 students returned to the same place of employment for a second internship.
  • The average salary for the first time BBA work experience was $15.28 per hour.  The average salary for the first time graduate student work experience was $21.68 per hour.
